The reason most of us set goals in life is to give oxygen to our dreams, but sometimes the goal may seem out of reach. Setting goals are kind of bittersweet. The bitter part comes when you initially set a goal for yourself because its always the unknown that makes you think the goal is unattainable. But once you figure out a way to achieve that goal, then comes the sweet part. There is no greater feeling then to reach the finish line on any journey in life. Once I arrived at the last seventh wonder on my list, I felt a sigh of relief and excitement. There's a reason why these man made monuments are considered a "wonder of the world" because each wonder is unique in its own way.

Almost four and a half hours to reach this point of my trip in Peru. That time includes a flight from Lima to Cusco, a car ride from Cusco to the train station, a train ride to the small town of Aguas Calientes and a short bus ride to the entrance of Machu Picchu. This entire journey was draining but it was all worth it in the end because I got a chance to experience some of the most spectacular views I have ever seen.

New Delhi is a very congested city with tons of people that seem like they are always on the go. It was such a treat to get away from all the congestion and take a 3 hour drive to Agra, which is home to the beautiful Taj Mahal. This marble mausoleum was built to house a tomb that contained the wife of a Mughal emperor. Trust me when I say that this is a must see when visiting India.

91 steps on each side of this amazing Mayan pyramid adds up to a total of 364 steps and there is one more step at the top to make it a grand total of 365, which is equivalent to the amount of days in a year. If it's one thing that I learned on my trip to Mexico, is that the Mayan people were way ahead of their time and to think that all of this was created without the use of any technology.

Out of all the seven wonders this one had to be the toughest to get to. The reason why was because I initially started my trip in Israel but the tour that I purchased to see this wonder consisted of a domestic flight to Eilat, crossing the boarder into Jordan and taking a 2 hour bus ride to Petra. It was such a long and exhausting day but it was well worth the trip. I guess you can say I was on my Indian Jones swag in this picture.

Imagine a man made wall that spans over 5,000 miles long and takes over a year to walk the entire length. It's facts like this that make the Great Wall of China so unique. Even though I only explored about a quarter mile stretch of this 7th wonder, I still had an amazing and informational experience. Who knows maybe one day I might go back and take on the challenge of walking the entire wall.

The Christ Redeemer is strategically placed on the top of Corcovado Mountain, with an amazing view of Rio. This 7th wonder is very easy to access and it will only cost you about R$43 ($11 USD). In my opinion, the best thing about this statue is when the lights shine on it at night because it gives the appearance that Christ is floating over the city.

Italy in itself is such a romantic and beautiful place to visit. It was such a treat to get a chance to explore the inside of the Colosseum. To think that thousands of years ago so many different events took place within those walls, it was almost surreal that I got to see everything in person. The best part about this trip was that this was my very first 7th wonder checked off and I knew from here that I had to see the rest of them.
